Update

It has been quite sometime since my last blog. So, I will fill everyone in.

I will be living in Herfølge, Denmark with the Petersen's. Herfølge is a town of 8,000 and is only 40 miles from Copenhagen and 3 miles from the Baltic Sea.

My parents are Jesper and Elise. Elise works for a life insurance company in Copenhagen and Jesper is a banker in Roskilde, which is also where my school is located. That means that I will have a 30 minute train ride to and from school everyday!

The Petersen's have 3 children, but only 1 lives at home. Her name is Fie and she is 18 years old. She and I will atttend school together. Their other children are Simon (30) and Malene (27). I am really excited to meet them all!

I will leave Black River Falls at 4 a.m. on July 29th. I fly out of Minneapolis at 8:40 a.m. and have a connection in Chicago and will then fly into La Guardia in New York around 1:30 p.m. From there I will take a car to St. John's University in Queens for an overnight orientation.

The next day, July 30th, I will fly from Newark to Copenhagen at 5:30 p.m. This is an overnight flight and I will finally reach my destination at 7:30 a.m. local time, July 31st. From there, I will attend a 3-day orientation in Copenhagen and will finally meet my family on August 3rd.
